Christian Formation
The three neighboring parishes, St. Catherine of Alexandria, St. Bernadette, and Our Lady of Good Hope, have combined to form one Christian Formation program under one director for the Northwest Milwaukee Catholic Parishes.
K5-8th Grade
The Christian Formation program seeks to provide children with the knowledge, experiences, and skills necessary to become faithful and fruitful disciples of Jesus. Parents are the primary educators in the faith, and we are partners with you in your child's faith journey. Class sessions are held on Wednesday nights from 6:00pm - 7:15pm at St. Catherine's school. Prayer services and Mass on special days are part of the curriculum. Parents are encouraged to take an active part in their child's Christian formation through these prayer experiences, as well as parent meetings and other family faith formation opportunities.
High School Grades 9 - 11
The teens meet regularly throughout the school year, in both large and smaller grade-specific groups, to learn about and discuss our Catholic faith in a way that prepares students to live as Catholic Christians within both the parish community and the wider community. We discuss a variety of topics including Catholic doctrine, scripture, morality, the sacraments, and how to live as Christian disciples in our world. Formation for juniors in high school focuses largely on preparation for confirmation. yearly retreats, service opportunities, and a variety of community life activities are also part of our program.
Adult Formation
Our journey of faith is a lifelong commitment. We aim to provide a variety of offerings and adult enrichment opportunities throughout the year through our parish, our Tri-parish cluster and through the Archdiocese.
